Automation Test Engineer

Overview

Automation Test Engineer / Senior Software Engineer role within Beckman Coulter Diagnostics' Digital Solutions R&D group, focused on ensuring the quality, reliability and correctness of software products by automating the testing process.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium and API testing tools.
• Create robust, scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify defects and work closely with developers to resolve them.
• Develop test plans and strategies.
• Perform functional, regression, performance and API testing.
• Architect, design, code, debug and implement software features and enhancements, working collaboratively with the team.
• Develop quick prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and product ideas to team and management.
• Work independently as well as with SMEs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years proven experience in Java/J2EE/.Net programming.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Ability to debug code and analyze system logs.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device design and development in an Agile environment.
• Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (FDA/ISO13485).
• Experience in medical device verification.
