Automation Test Engineer – Selenium, Java & API Testing

Overview

Automation Test Engineer responsible for building and executing automated testing solutions using Selenium and Java. The role supports functional, regression, API, database, and Agile testing activities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
• Create reusable automation components, test utilities, and suites with TestNG and Maven.
• Perform functional, regression, API, and database testing.
• Execute automated tests through project environments and Jenkins.
• Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects using JIRA.
• Troubleshoot automation scripts, test failures, and environment issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional experience in automation testing or software quality assurance.
• Strong experience writing maintainable Java automation code.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and JIRA.
• Experience with functional and regression testing.
• Experience with API and database testing.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience enhancing established Selenium and Java automation frameworks.
• Exposure to continuous integration, cloud-based test environments, and distributed applications.
• Experience with reusable libraries, data-driven testing, parameterized testing, or parallel execution.
• Relevant testing, automation, Agile, or tool-specific certifications.
