Avionics Software Engineer

Overview

Design, develop, verify and validate safety-critical real-time embedded software for avionics applications conforming to DO-178B/C standards.

What you'll do

• Create software requirements.
• Design and implement software modules.
• Perform unit-level verification of software modules.
• Integrate software modules.
• Carry out integration testing (software-software and software-hardware).
• Analyse issues raised during testing campaigns or in-service usage.
• Verify and validate software modules.

What you'll need

• Experience in the full software lifecycle, including software requirements definition, dynamic and static design, coding and verification activities in industrialized domains.
• Hands-on experience in embedded software requirements engineering and architecture (static and dynamic).
• Design and development (module-level design, interfaces, algorithms).
• Embedded programming.
• Unit and integration testing (host and target environment).
• Software configuration management.
• Knowledge of standards (requirements, design, coding).
• Knowledge of RTOS.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Work experience on the DO-178 standard.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of avionics systems and networks.
