Azure devops – Datahub

Overview

Design, build, automate and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes as part of a team, supporting continuous delivery for the Datahub project.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, automate and maintain cloud infrastructure together as a team using Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes.
• Write scripts and pipelines to automate deployment and other pipelines.
• Design and maintain release pipelines to enable continuous delivery of the project.
• Ensure high availability, cost efficiency and observability of the system in production.
• Communicate clearly and understandably with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or any relevant field.
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Cloud Developer or similar.
• Proven experience building cloud environments in one or more public clouds, with understanding of containerization, container management (K8s) and related technologies.
• Experience with one or more infrastructure as code frameworks, e.g. Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Must have knowledge of Linux systems, Docker containers and shell scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub & GitHub Actions, GitLab etc.
• Experience with a templating tool, e.g. Helm, used for writing charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Knowledge of GitOps concepts and experience with tools such as ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of designing, creating or improving release processes and migration.
• Experience enabling quality gates in pipelines, i.e. code quality, static code analysis and security, e.g. SonarQube, CodeQL, Dependabot, Blackduck.
• A team player, willing to learn new technologies.
• Communication in English.

• Any programming skills, e.g. Python, Java etc.
• Any relevant certifications related to Azure, AWS etc.
