Business Development Executive

About the role

We're looking for a Branch Relationship Officer or Business Development Executive to join our Kolkata branch and drive customer acquisition and product sales in the retail banking space. You'll combine customer relationship-building with proactive sales to grow our deposit base and cross-sell a range of banking products.

What you'll do

• Acquire new customers for Savings and Current Accounts (CASA) and meet monthly sales targets
• Cross-sell banking products including fixed deposits, insurance, loans, credit cards, and investment products to existing and new customers
• Conduct customer visits, generate referrals, and identify lead opportunities in your assigned territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions
• Ensure KYC compliance and complete all banking regulatory documentation accurately and on time
• Achieve and exceed monthly business development targets while maintaining service quality standards

What we're looking for

• Graduate in any discipline; postgraduates also welcome
• Freshers or candidates with sales and customer acquisition experience are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers at all levels
• Valid driving licence and access to a two-wheeler for field sales and customer visits (where applicable)
• Willingness to work Monday to Saturday as per banking norms (2nd & 4th Saturdays typically off)
• Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment and manage multiple priorities

Nice to have

• Prior experience in banking, financial services, or retail sales
• Knowledge of banking products and financial services landscape
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
