Business Methods Engineer

Overview

Business Methods Engineer role in Manufacturing Engineering at Airbus India Private Limited, leading Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Work Preparation (ME) projects, with a focus on digital continuity from engineering to shop floor, Production System maturity, and STV/SLB methods.

What you'll do

• Lead Manufacturing part of PLM projects, including development of a new PLM solution for E2E Digital Continuity (Engineering to Shop floor).
• Enrich the Operations Catalogue for digital platforms.
• Maintain Business Rules for Automation for digital platforms.
• Develop and deploy the ME Work Preparation Excellence journey supporting Production System maturity objectives, the Preparation and Execution System deployment, and the ramp-up of key Programs.
• Define/update Method/Process/AOS bricks.
• Lead business continuity / continuous improvement projects as part of the ME Process-Methods-Tools Roadmap (or equivalent in Agile Safe methodology).
• Create/validate Business Requirement Dossiers.
• Manage Change Request Management, implement changes, and make adjustments after deployment.
• Provide and support cost improvement actions; analyze possibilities, create concepts and technical solutions.
• Develop ME competences, knowledge and community of practice.
• Provide ME Work Preparation expertise to the Plants & FALs to support (BOS).
• Perform benchmarking activities using existing resources for Airbus benefit (internal and external benchmark).
• Manage ME3S Clusters (ME Work Prep & Technical Shop floor Support, NC Programming, Shop floor Process Optimization).
• Manage FUIN0301 & FUIN0304 processes, including Progress Review Meetings (PRM) and EASA, EN9100 and Internal Audit.
• Specify new NC Programming solutions for new means (including PP & PIK creation, and virtual machines for simulation tools).
• Improve Post Processors (PP) / Process Implementation Kit (PIK).
• Maintain/develop transverse new methods and tools around Production System Efficiency (PSE) & Employee Empowerment Management (EEM) Bricks.
• Update and maintain transverse databases used by operations (STV Ticon, 3DX).
• Support PERT Chart.
• Support Standard Line Balancing (SLB) to enable Production Pace Control (PPC) creation and maintenance.
• Reduce Efficiency Loss via white space/red space identification, analysis and reduction.
• Improve Process and Serial Allocated time via VA/NVA analysis and shop floor process observation.
• Check STV golden rules adherence.
• Define/update Method/Process/AOS bricks related to STV/SLB.
• Define/maintain digital tools for STV/SLB.
• Ensure the right level of competences of users/stakeholders on STV/SLB.
• Coach and assess end users on STV/SLB usage.
