Specialist focused on designing and developing hybrid AI-optimization techniques that combine machine learning, metaheuristics, and exact solvers, and applying them to end-to-end intelligent decision-making.
What you'll do
- Design and develop hybrid AI–optimisation techniques combining ML, metaheuristics, and exact solvers.
- Apply optimisation to improve AI efficiency, including hyperparameter optimisation, neural architecture search, and model compression (pruning and quantisation).
- Use AI/ML models (including large language models and neural combinatorial optimisation approaches) to accelerate formulation, warm-start solver processes, and automate solution-space exploration.
- Build data-driven pipelines integrating predictive ML models with prescriptive optimisation engines for decision-making.
- Evaluate trade-offs between accuracy, computational cost, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with Quantum, AI, and HPC R&D teams and develop PoCs comparing classical vs quantum/hybrid/AI-augmented approaches.
- Integrate HPC-powered and GPU-accelerated AI solvers and support deployment and monitoring using MLOps practices.
What you'll need
- Apply principles of secure software engineering across software/cloud infrastructure development, testing, evaluation, and maintenance.
- Work cross-functionally to understand business requirements and architecture/technology direction and evaluate alternative approaches.
- Use AI/ML concepts to support system functionality, scalability, resilience, security, and ease-of-use.
- Apply agile principles to deliver business value through collaboration, continuous improvement, and sustainability.
