Overview

Buyer role in ABB’s Electrification business (Smart Power division) in Nashik, focused on purchasing materials and managing supplier activities.

What you'll do

• Purchase materials based on technical specifications, price, delivery schedules, and terms.
• Ensure purchasing activities follow corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
• Initiate Purchase Orders in the system and confirm deliveries with suppliers.
• Monitor and track supplier performance against PO requirements.
• Identify new suppliers with the relevant category team.
• Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms/conditions.
• Analyze and evaluate bids to determine optimal value.

What you'll need

• BE in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, and vendor management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical commodities.
• Experience in inventory management and supplier coordination.
• Familiarity with SAP-MM module (added advantage).
• Good negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
