CDP - Lead Data Engineer

Overview

Tekion is hiring a CDP - Lead Data Engineer to provide technical leadership for scalable data pipelines and architecture.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data platforms.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable data solutions.
• Define standards for data quality, validation, monitoring, and pipeline resilience.
• Mentor data engineers, conduct code reviews, and share best practices.
• Improve data architecture, tooling, and automation to support analytics and product features.
• Align data engineering work with product, analytics, and engineering business priorities.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and frameworks to improve scalability and performance.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform development, or distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt.
• Proven experience leading technical teams or complex engineering projects.
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift and DevOps practices.
