Overview
Hybrid Cloud Engineer role supporting on-premises and public cloud components for core business applications and participating in migrations across multiple public cloud platforms.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain server and storage components for on-premises and public cloud.
- Provide consultation and communication to internal customers for technology solutions.
- Lead design, building, testing, documentation, and implementation of systems management practices tied to AWS, Nutanix/VMware, PowerShell, Python automation, storage, and networking.
- Handle security, performance monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and operational/change management activities.
- Perform daily system checks, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Provide Tier 3 support across business units and resolve problems with documented resolutions.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience supporting and implementing enterprise core infrastructure components.
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting cloud workloads across AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
- Strong experience with Active Directory Domain Administration.
- Experience deploying and supporting enterprise operating systems including Windows and/or Linux.
- Expertise in enterprise virtualization/hyperconverged technologies such as Nutanix/KVM and/or VMware.
- Experience with DNS and PKI infrastructure administration.
- Hands-on automation and scripting using Python and/or PowerShell.
Nice to have
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Engineer.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools experience including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring and DevOps tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios, Datadog, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- ITIL process knowledge with Incident, Problem, and Change Management; ITIL certification preferred.
