Cloud Migration Engineer

Overview

As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will assess existing solutions and infrastructure and plan, deliver and implement application and data migrations to private and public cloud environments, leading cloud migration strategy and a team of engineers.

What you'll do

• Evaluate current systems and infrastructure to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments.
• Lead the development and execution of cloud migration strategies to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption.
• Plan, deliver and implement application and data migration with scalable, high-performance solutions using private and public cloud technologies.
• Collaborate and manage the team, take team decisions and provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall expertise and performance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align migration activities with organizational objectives and timelines.
• Monitor migration progress and address challenges that arise during the migration process.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Cloud Migration Planning.
• Proficiency in Cloud Migration Planning.
• 15 years full time education.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture principles.
• Ability to design scalable and high-performance cloud solutions.
• Experience in assessing legacy systems and planning migration pathways.
• Familiarity with both private and public cloud platforms and their integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud Automation DevOps.
