Overview

Corp Affairs Manager responsible for government affairs, state liaisoning, compliance support, and internal/external communications for Mars Petcare in Hyderabad.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute Telangana Government Affairs strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior officials across Telangana Government departments.
• Represent Mars to local government bodies, regulatory agencies, district administration, and industry associations.
• Identify policy/regulatory/political developments affecting the business and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Act as the corporate affairs partner for the Hyderabad manufacturing site and support regulatory engagements.
• Coordinate compliance requirements, statutory licences/permits/approvals, and audit preparedness.
• Lead internal communications and support leadership, media, reputation, and crisis communications.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university (required).
• 8–10 years of corporate affairs experience (minimum 8, maximum 10 stated range).
• Experience independently managing State Government relations, preferably in Telangana or another South Indian state.
• Mandatory experience supporting a manufacturing plant/factory/industrial site.
• Mandatory experience in Government Affairs/Public Affairs/Policy or related functions with direct state government engagement.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, licences, approvals, and manufacturing-related governance.
• Excellent English communication skills (Hindi preferred; Telugu advantage stated).

Details

• Work on-site from Hyderabad with regular presence at the manufacturing site.
• ATS location: IND-Telangana-Hyderabad.
