Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable full-stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring, React, and related technologies. The role covers backend services, frontend interfaces, RESTful API integrations, application modernization, secure coding, and software delivery across the development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Jakarta Servlet, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
• Participate in application modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy libraries and frameworks to supported versions.
• Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs while ensuring seamless communication between frontend and backend components.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues while optimizing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate and contribute effectively to project deliverables as an SME.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant software development experience.
• 15 years full time education.
• Proficiency in Java, Jakarta EE-Servlet API, Spring Framework, React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Spring boot, Java core, Hibernate.
• Strong experience in developing scalable enterprise applications and RESTful services.
• Expertise in React fundamentals, Hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and frontend optimization techniques.
• Experience with API integration, asynchronous data handling, and form validation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Jackson, Apache POI, Log4j2, Hibernate Validator, HikariCP, and file upload handling.
• Experience with version control systems, testing frameworks, and modern development tools.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms (JWT-OAuth), and application security standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• React.js, Spring Boot, and Hibernate ORM.
• Spring Boot, legacy-to-modern framework migration experience, and banking-financial domain exposure.
• A University degree in Computer Science, Banking, or equivalent working experience.
• Experience in financial services or banking technology environments.
