Software Engineer II (Full Stack) - CONSUMER INTELLIGENCE & ENGAGEMENT

Overview

Build full-stack capabilities for membership, loyalty, rewards, and personalised consumer experiences. The role covers technical design, development, validation, and operation of low-latency services and frontend applications.

What you'll do

• Design and operate scalable APIs, event-driven services, and integration layers.
• Configure and extend the Antavo loyalty platform.
• Implement member lifecycle, rewards, promotions, and event-processing workflows.
• Integrate Antavo with commerce, CDP, CRM, marketing automation, and data platforms.
• Implement monitoring, logging, security, reliability, and performance practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and investigate root causes.

What you'll need

• 4+ years designing large-scale distributed backend systems on cloud-native platforms.
• Backend engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Node.js, React, Kafka, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and distributed data management.
• Experience with observability, reliability engineering, and performance optimisation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Antavo loyalty platform experience.
• Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer digital products.
• Experience using coding agents, LLMs, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
