Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Build Python and Generative AI automation for application support operations, and contribute to the architecture it runs on. Convert incidents, requests, batch, observability and alert opportunities into reusable workflows.

What you'll do

• Own solution design for assigned workstreams as a subject matter expert in Python automation and GenAI.
• Produce HLD/LLD, reusable frameworks and patterns across ITIL phases.
• Build agent orchestration, tool calling, RAG over runbooks, and knowledge assistants.
• Deliver ticketing automation: triage, routing, auto-remediation and RCA.
• Deliver non-ticketing automation: batch, health checks, data fixes, access and reports.
• Apply SRE and observability practices: SLI/SLO, golden signals, self-healing and alert noise reduction.
• Integrate ServiceNow, Jira, GitHub, monitoring and CI/CD while following engineering standards.
• Demonstrate solutions to stakeholders and mentor junior engineers.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Advanced Python with enterprise automation delivery and hands-on GenAI and Agentic AI development.
• 8+ years in software or automation engineering with production automation assets delivered.
• GenAI skills: prompt engineering, RAG, LLM integration, guardrails.
• Agentic AI skills: LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen or CrewAI on Azure OpenAI or Bedrock.
• REST API, JSON, SQL and scripting integration, and event-driven design.
• SRE, event correlation, observability (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, ELK), DevOps/CI-CD and ITIL.
• Clear communication and demonstration skills with client stakeholders and delivery teams.

Nice to have

• Vector databases (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS), knowledge graphs, and cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Preferred certifications in Python, cloud, Generative AI, ITIL or observability.
