About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a cybersecurity enthusiast to join the Furgality Fintech team as an intern. As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will have the chance to work on a variety of security-related tasks, including identifying and patching vulnerabilities, implementing secure authentication and access control mechanisms, and monitoring logs and alerts for potential threats.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and patching security vulnerabilities across app, backend, and cloud infrastructure
• Support implementation of secure authentication, data encryption, and access control mechanisms
• Help monitor logs, alerts, and potential threats using basic SIEM tools
• Contribute to internal security documentation, audit prep, and compliance workflows (RBI, ISO, etc.)
• Research and test open-source tools for endpoint protection, secure APIs, and threat modeling

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field
• Basic understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and Cyber/ Web / network security
• Familiarity with tools like Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Nikto, Wireshark, Nmap, or similar
• Interest in fintech, data privacy, and regulatory compliance
• Bonus: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Linux, or scripting (Python, Bash)
