Overview
Own structural engineering for modular data center deployments, from site due diligence and design through certification, fabrication, installation, and operational handoff.
What you'll do
- Vet structural engineering vendors and certifying engineers across project sites.
- Assess seismic, wind, snow, soil, code, and AHJ requirements for new sites.
- Develop structural templates for platforms, ISO containers, foundations, anchorage, and piping supports.
- Perform in-house structural analysis and design for new products and site conditions.
- Review shop drawings, anchoring details, and equipment integration with project partners.
- Maintain structural guidelines, readiness checklists, and certification workflows.
- Provide final structural sign-off for certified and operationally ready sites.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- PE or SE license, or an international equivalent such as Chartered Engineer.
- 5–7 years of structural analysis and design experience with steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Experience with foundations, platforms, and equipment anchorage.
- Working knowledge of structural software and IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI codes.
- Ability to navigate international codes and seismic, wind, snow, and soil conditions.
- Ability to travel approximately 20–30% worldwide.
Nice to have
- Experience with modular, prefabricated, or ISO-container construction.
- Data center or mission-critical facility experience.
- Experience managing external engineering vendors across multiple projects.
- Experience creating design standards, templates, or governance processes.

- Salary: $113,760–$142,200 USD.
- Approximately 20–30% travel to project, fabrication, and construction locations.
