Data Engineer

Overview

Data Engineer role focused on building and maintaining data systems including pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to keep data accurate, accessible, and secure.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain data architectures and data pipelines for processing durable, complete, and consistent data.
• Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes that meet data volume/velocity needs and required security measures.
• Develop processing and analysis algorithms suited to data complexity and volumes.
• Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
• Perform complex data analysis from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems.
• Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to the work.

What you'll need

• Strong experience in QlikView and Qlik Sense administration and development.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, migrating, upgrading, and supporting Qlik environments.
• Hands-on experience with JSON, CSV, PARQUET, and ORC data formats.
• Strong networking fundamentals including SSL certificates, load balancers, DNS, IP routing, and security concepts.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Event Management.
• Experience supporting enterprise BI platforms in production environments.
• 7+ years of experience in BI Platform Administration and Analytics Solutions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Qlik Cloud / Qlik Sense SaaS environments.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native data architectures.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Shell.
• Relevant certifications in Qlik, Snowflake, AWS, or Data Engineering technologies.
