Data Engineer

Overview

Data COE Data Engineer role to design and build scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based data solutions, developing data pipelines and ensuring data quality within Mondelēz's analytics function.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure efficient data processing of pipelines and data storage for optimal retrieval performance.
• Collaborate closely with data teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
• Execute the business analytics agenda in conjunction with analytics team leaders.
• Use models/algorithms to uncover signals, patterns and trends to drive long-term business performance.
• Use data analysis to make recommendations to analytic leaders.
• Convey to stakeholders what business analytics will deliver, using a methodical approach.

What you'll need

• 3 to 7 years of data engineering experience with good expertise in the required tech stack.
• Programming: Python, PySpark, SQL.
• ETL & Integration: Databricks (LDP, Lakeflow Connect, Notebooks), AecorSoft/DataSphere.
• Data warehousing: SCD Types, Fact & Dimensions, Star Schema.
• Medallion architecture: Bronze, Silver, Gold (Databricks Medallion Architecture).
• AWS cloud services: S3, Lambda, EC2, Glue, Redshift.
• Scheduling technologies: Lakeflow Jobs, Airflow.
• Dimensional modelling understanding.
• Knowledge of indicators (KPIs) and scorecards.
• Using data analysis to make recommendations to analytic leaders.
• Understanding of best-in-class analytics practices.
• A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Excel, Alteryx, R, Python, etc. is a plus.
• Erwin tool for data modelling (optional).
• GenAI exposure: Genie/Kiro/Gemini etc. (optional).
• Visualization: PowerBI and GenBI (optional).
