Data Engineer

Overview

As a Data Engineer at Mobility, you’ll build and support data ingestion and processing pipelines for a data platform and product insights team.

What you'll do

• Build and support data ingestion and processing pipelines in a cloud-native environment.
• Extract, load, and transform large-scale data from batch and streaming sources.
• Create real-time monitoring dashboards and alerting systems.
• Partner with product to assemble large datasets that meet business requirements.
• Develop data dictionaries/data catalogs with documentation for data assets.
• Build data warehouses, data marts, metrics, KPIs, and business logic for product insights.

What you'll need

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Big Data and Data Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data mart design.
• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, and/or Scala.
• Experience setting up and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, GCS, AWS S3).
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres and Cassandra/MongoDB).

Nice to have

• Exposure to BI tools like Tableau, Dundas, or Power BI.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
