Overview
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug end-to-end applications for Finance Digital transformation, covering data engineering and full-stack development. Work independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources.
- Build and optimise data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, schemas, and curated data sets for analytics and operational use.
- Develop responsive web applications using modern front-end frameworks and scalable back-end services.
- Improve application, query, and pipeline performance while following secure coding and privacy standards.
- Partner with product owners, architects, analysts, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, document solutions, and continuously improve platform reliability.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 2-4 years experience.
- 5+ years of software or data engineering experience, including meaningful ownership across both data and application layers.
- Knowledge of using software systems design tools and languages.
- Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, plus Java, C#, or Node.js/TypeScript for back-end development.
- Hands-on experience with React or Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive UI development.
- Experience building ETL/ELT solutions with tools such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, or comparable services.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling, query optimisation, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including storage, compute, identity, serverless, and managed data services.
- Practical knowledge of Git, automated testing, containers, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Understanding of authentication, authorisation, encryption, secrets management, secure APIs, and data privacy controls.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
