Data Management Specialist

Overview

Manage and maintain accurate, consistent customer and supplier master data across approved finance and business applications.

What you'll do

• Create, update, and maintain customer and supplier master data across approved systems.
• Review master data creation/modification requests for completeness, accuracy, documentation, and approvals.
• Validate key fields like legal names, licenses, VAT, bank details, payment terms, and contact information.
• Perform duplicate checks, inactive account reviews, data cleansing, and exception analysis to improve data quality.
• Extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze master data using system reports, Excel, and basic SQL queries.
• Maintain archives of requests, approvals, supporting documents, change logs, and audit trails; monitor workflows and turnaround times.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience in master data management, customer/supplier data management, finance operations, ERP data administration, or business application data support.
• Hands-on experience maintaining customer and vendor master data in ERP or business applications.
• Good understanding of master data processes, approval workflows, data governance, and internal controls.
• Working knowledge of SQL for basic extraction, validation, duplicate checks, exception reporting, and reconciliation (strong advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including lookups, pivot tables, conditional checks, and exception reports.
