Data Scientist

Overview

Data Scientist role in Celonis’ Data Analytics and Transformation team, focused on developing and communicating data-driven insights for strategic and tactical decision-making.

What you'll do

• Develop data-driven insights and decision-making applications for internal use, with a focus on operational processes.
• Produce regular reporting and provide analysis for business leaders.
• Create, document, and maintain operational processes that meet business objectives with an emphasis on automation and reducing manual transactions.
• Use project management skills to mobilize internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
• Engage in data engineering processes to support data accuracy, consistency, and integrity via continuous audit and review.
• Conduct in-depth analytic investigations to answer business questions and support product/engineering ideas.
• Build statistical and machine learning models, including fine-tuning models and working with foundation models (RAG, agents, evals).

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong focus on Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as an Analytics Engineer / Product Analyst / Data Engineer or similar.
• Hands-on experience using analytic tools such as Celonis EMS, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or Power BI.
• Technical competence with analytical tools for data extraction, visualization, and analysis (SQL, Python, Pandas).
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working in agile teams using collaboration software like Jira or similar.
