Data Scientist

Overview

Data Scientist role in Financial Crime Operations using data analysis and machine-learning model-driven decision support for payment screening and sanctions.

What you'll do

• Identify, collect, and extract data from internal and external sources.
• Clean, wrangle, and transform data to ensure quality for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
• Design and run statistical and machine-learning models to analyze patterns, trends, and relationships.
• Build predictive models to forecast outcomes and identify risks and opportunities.
• Perform daily analysis of large-scale transactional datasets and validate data quality.
• Create analytical outputs, automation support, and MI reporting; communicate insights to stakeholders.

What you'll need

• In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.
• Thorough understanding of underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.
• Write high-quality code in Python and SQL for extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Visualize data using Power BI and Tableau.
• Construct robust pipelines combining multiple data sources.
• Create and maintain analytical tools to generate insight, recognize patterns, and predict behavior.
• Use analytical methods/techniques suited to data challenges.
