Data Scientist

Overview

Data Scientist role focused on researching, engineering, validating, and shipping quantitative predictive signals using high-frequency equity market data.

What you'll do

• Research, engineer, and validate quantitative signals from raw high-frequency market data.
• Translate market behavior hypotheses into quantitative signals and turn them into features.
• Implement signals in internal simulation/backtesting framework and iterate with exploratory analysis.
• Backtest features on historical data and evaluate behavior across markets, regimes, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams on implementation and validation standards.
• Explore new and existing data sources to identify candidate signals for further development.
• Develop utility tools to automate parts of the software development, testing, and deployment workflow.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (minimum).
• Experience turning noisy, real-world data into validated, well-behaved signals or models.
• Rigorous quantitative programming skills for accurate, production-quality, performance-aware code.
• Comfort with low-latency implementations where needed.
• Working knowledge of financial markets and trading/market data behavior or ability to learn quickly.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
