Overview
Deputy Manager - Supply Chain Planning responsible for production, demand, supply, and inventory planning, including network deployment across multiple locations.
What you'll do
- Convert sales forecasts into master production schedules (MPS) and update production goals based on demand changes.
- Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for raw and packaging materials and plan procurement requirements accordingly.
- Develop SKU-level demand forecasts and lead weekly/monthly demand planning cycles within S&OP.
- Convert the demand plan into a feasible supply plan considering capacity constraints, production cycles, and lead times.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels across RM, PM, and FG, including norms and risk mitigation (e.g., slow-moving stock and expiry).
- Balance inventory across a multi-location network (plant, CFA, JW) and plan stock transfers/deployment based on demand and priorities.
- Use SAP (mandatory) and maintain ERP systems, data, and MIS for reporting.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain planning.
- Strong SAP hands-on experience is mandatory.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with demand forecasting and inventory planning techniques.
- Understanding of S&OP/IBP processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- B.E/B.Tech preferred or MBA (Operations/Supply Chain).
