Overview
DevOps Engineer (fully remote, India-only) responsible for building and operating the infrastructure and delivery tooling behind products used by students and teachers.
What you'll do
- Design, provision, and run cloud infrastructure across dev, staging, and production environments as code.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, repeatable, and safe releases.
- Containerize services and manage orchestration, scaling, and deployments.
- Own cloud security including least privilege, secrets/key rotation, and threat detection triage.
- Own observability with logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
- Build and test backup and disaster recovery with cross-region and cross-account restores.
What you'll need
- 2–5 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Strong AWS skills across compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Comfortable with Docker and managed orchestration (ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes, or similar).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
- Good scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) and comfort operating on Linux.
Nice to have
- Experience building/using MCP servers, agents, internal tools, or automations for infra delivery.
- Experience using AI to improve testing, monitoring, incident response, documentation, or dev velocity.
- Experience running load/performance tests at scale and using results to size infrastructure.
- Experience with compliance/audit cycles and automating remediation.
- Experience restoring from backup in a drill.
- Experience working on platforms with a hard seasonal traffic peak.
