Engineering Manager

Overview

Engineering Manager for the Identity & Access Technology (IAT) team within Enterprise Services at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, acting as a technical SME and leading quality delivery of technical strategies and features.

What you'll do

• Manage and provide input to incidents, problems, changes, and projects with major service impact.
• Oversee and drive resolution of Major Technical Incidents with coordination across technical teams.
• Manage transitional elements of new services to BAU and ensure support partners are capable.
• Lead key project initiatives for automation and optimisation capabilities.
• Design and deploy secure, scalable infrastructure and services in cloud environments such as AWS.
• Consult on technical strategies, products, and feature designs while contributing hands-on as a Full Cycle Engineer.

What you'll need

• 14+ years of solid operational experience with significant people management exposure.
• Domain knowledge in IAT, specifically Authentication, including SSO/MFA areas.
• Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Ping Identity products for enterprise IAM.
• Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
• Experience using GitHub Actions for workflow automation.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
