Overview
As a DevOps Engineer - Senior Associate in PwC's Technology Consulting practice, you will optimize operational efficiency through business application consulting. You will analyze client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support in client-facing engagements.
What you'll do
- Design, implement and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps and GitLab CI for automated build, test and deployment across environments for multiple services.
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes, including EKS, AKS or GKE, and Docker.
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK and Datadog.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and deployment workflows using Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance, resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Understand database operations across RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Azure SQL and Cosmos DB, including backups, replication, failover strategies and performance tuning.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident resolution when production issues arise.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks and practices to continuously improve the developer experience.
- Translate customer business objectives into comprehensive technical solutions and detailed project estimates.
- Support technology solutions for business transformation projects, project delivery and resource management for diverse clients.
What you'll need
- B. Engg./B. Tech. or M. Engg./M. Tech. from a premier Technical/Engineering School.
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience.
- Oral and written proficiency in English.
- Working knowledge of APIs, integration patterns and DevOps/CI/CD delivery practices.
- Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in production environments.
- Deep expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code; Terraform is strongly preferred.
- Advanced scripting skills in Bash/Shell and Python for automation and tooling.
- Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls and service mesh.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Platforms and technologies including AWS, Amazon Connect, Lambda, Lex, AWS AI Agents, Azure, EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Git, GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket.
- Experience working in SAFe Agile, Agile or Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of SRE principles and incident management.
- Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to bridge business and technical audiences, articulate value and build trust with stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with security and compliance practices, including RBAC and secrets management with Vault, AWS Secrets Manager or Azure Key Vault.
- Experience with serverless architectures, including Lambda, Cloud Functions or Fargate, and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Experience supporting CCaaS or contact center platform infrastructure, including Amazon Connect, Genesys or NICE CXone.
- Multi-cloud experience with AWS and Azure.
- Security/compliance experience with SOC2, HIPAA or PCI-DSS as applicable.
- Exposure to database administration, including DynamoDB, RDS and Azure SQL.
- GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
- Monitoring and observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack or Datadog.
- Secrets management experience with HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
- Configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or Redis.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks.
- AWS Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
- DevOps Engineer, Agile, SAFe, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Manager (CSM) or similar PM-related certification.
- Proficiency in business data analytics and strategic planning.
- Technical consultation skills in client support environments.
- Experience engaging in project delivery and resource management for diverse clients.
