Digital Product Owner

Overview

Caterpillar is looking for a Digital Product Owner to help drive the ongoing development of its cloud-based technology projects.

What you'll do

• Participate in requirements gathering meetings and workshops with product owners to derive system requirements and uncover areas of improvement.
• Perform requirements analysis and create user stories with proper acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Conduct requirement grooming meetings and share business needs and system requirements with the development team.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between business users, business analysts and development team users.
• Break down large functional requirements into manageable chunks.
• Clearly call out the definition of done and acceptance criteria.
• Manage projects, develop project plans and unblock resources.
• Manage competing resources, dependencies and priorities.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Gather metrics and conduct retrospective meetings to drive improvements.

What you'll need

• At least 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in working or managing cloud-based web application development.
• Extensive experience in story creation, Agile methodology and ceremonies, work allocation/tracking, and working with product owners and leads.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• A track record of following through on commitments.
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS Teams).
• Knowledge of SQL queries.
• Familiarity with estimation models.
