Overview
Director of Engineering in Bangalore, leading software engineering delivery and technical leadership through engineering vision, execution, and team management.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers and make complex design decisions.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products using good software development practices.
- Hire, mentor, and manage managers, including performance feedback and career growth discussions.
- Architect, design, and code, including building and operating cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Establish engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures aligned to business objectives.
- Evaluate schedules, quality assurance procedures, and new releases to assess value.
What you'll need
- Minimum overall experience of 15 years.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on software development.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on development in Microsoft-based tech stack (C#, .NET, Web API, IIS, related skills).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with web services (RESTful services and microservices).
- Minimum 5 years of management experience and minimum 2 years managing managers.
- Experience with C#, Web API server, SQL Server, React, and Angular.
- Hands-on experience in Agentic AI and Generative AI (LLM training, Agentic workflows, prompt engineering, MCP, RAG).
