Director - Quality Engineering

Overview

Lead the build-out of a next-generation quality engineering function for Finastra's banking software and platforms, leveraging AI, agentic automation and platform engineering to deliver secure, compliant and resilient software at scale.

What you'll do

• Define the enterprise QE vision aligned to engineering priorities.
• Embed quality across the SDLC, CI/CD and production, shifting to an engineering-owned quality model.
• Deploy intelligent test generation, self-healing automation and defect analytics.
• Introduce predictive release risk and autonomous quality workflows.
• Establish governance for responsible AI adoption.
• Standardize frameworks across API, microservices, integration, UI and data layers.
• Build reusable QE accelerators and platforms.
• Enable continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead performance, resilience and data integrity validation.
• Implement contract testing, service virtualization and observability-driven quality.
• Define KPIs including defect leakage, release confidence, cycle time and automation ROI.
• Ensure auditability and regulatory alignment for banking software and SaaS.

What you'll need

• 14+ years in QE or engineering excellence, with leadership experience.
• Strong background in banking or financial services platforms.
• Proven track record of a QA to QE transformation (automation-first model).
• Deep expertise in microservices, APIs and cloud-native architectures.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD, DevSecOps and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in automation frameworks and non-functional testing.
• Exposure to AI-enabled QE (LLM-based testing, predictive analytics, intelligent automation).
