Overview
Director of Software Engineering Lead providing technical leadership for enterprise-scale AI applications and platforms. Own architecture, standards, governance, and platform capabilities relied on by multiple product teams.
What you'll do
- Define and lead a multi-year technical vision for AI applications and platforms.
- Establish architecture principles, reference designs, and patterns for full-stack AI solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across a portfolio of AI initiatives via design reviews and stage gates.
- Drive shared components such as APIs, registries, feature stores, RAG services, and developer tooling.
- Lead model selection frameworks, evaluation methods, prompt governance, and LLM guardrails.
- Own technical standards for SLOs, resilience, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Embed security, privacy, and ethical AI principles, collaborating on governance and audits.
What you'll need
- 15+ years in software/AI engineering with a record of technical leadership.
- Experience guiding managers and senior engineers through technical influence.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Deep experience designing distributed, cloud-native systems and microservices.
- Confirmed expertise with ML and GenAI solution patterns at scale, including model lifecycle management.
- Proficiency across modern stacks including Python and CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
- Significant experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP for secure AI/ML deployments.
Details
- Work location: Chennai or Bangalore.
- In-office expectation: minimum three days per week from the office (flexible overall).
