Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

Design electrical systems for oil-filled power transformers up to 345 kV within an international engineering team. Coordinate with global factories and technical teams to meet project specifications, standards, and schedules.

What you'll do

• Influence electrical specifications during tender and pre-tender discussions.
• Prepare electrical designs for quotations and orders.
• Develop customer documents, manufacturing documents, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate design activities across the worldwide factory network.
• Participate in internal design concept reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, guidelines, and project standards.

What you'll need

• 4–12 years of electrical design experience in the oil-filled power transformer manufacturing industry.
• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of transformer electrical design, thermal performance, dielectrics, short circuit performance, and transformer mechanics.
• Understanding of IS, IEC, IEEE, and Canadian standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Experience in simulation or software development.
• Team-building and networking skills.
