Emulation Engineer

Overview

Develop and maintain emulation models and environments for pre-silicon verification of hardware designs using ZeBu and related platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop emulation models from RTL designs using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools.
• Integrate and debug hardware and software collateral for emulation testing.
• Implement tools, capabilities, and methodologies to improve emulation model usability.
• Optimize emulation environments and test suites for performance and efficiency.
• Develop scripts and automation flows to streamline emulation processes.
• Support SoC and IP bring-up, root-cause analysis, and emulator environment debugging.
• Enhance hybrid environments combining virtual platforms and emulation models.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of experience.
• Experience building and debugging emulation models.
• Experience with ZeBu, Veloce, or Palladium platforms.
• Experience debugging RTL code, preferably Verilog.
• Programming skills in Python, C/C++, Perspec, and Verilog.
• Experience with reset and boot debugging at SoC level.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Synopsys tools and Zebu or HAPS platforms.
• Knowledge of Intel CPU or x86 architecture.
• Exposure to system-level emulation-based verification and virtual platforms.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
