Engineer 2

Overview

The Engineer 2 develops and enhances financial technology solutions by translating requirements into functional software across the SDLC. The role involves designing, coding, testing, code reviews, improving scalability and UI/UX, and mentoring peers.

What you'll do

• Use the software development lifecycle to implement technology solutions that enhance applications.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and application code.
• Create UI-related design specifications and convert them into functioning components.
• Execute unit tests and analyze/review code to identify and remediate defects.
• Design and lead development of complex software solutions and conduct code reviews.
• Optimize performance and scalability and resolve system defects and bottlenecks.
• Mentor Associate Software Engineers and Engineer 1 and collaborate across teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of work experience in related field including full stack, frontend, backend, and UI/UX engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent) is required.
• Proficiency in at least two and ideally three programming languages.
• Experience with Agile methodology and at least one cloud/devops environment.
• Experience implementing full stack development across the SDLC (frontend, backend, UI/UX).
• Ability to drive projects using tools such as GitHub, Copilot, or AWS Migration.

• Work environment: hybrid with normal office environment.
• On-call rotation includes evenings or weekends.
