Engineer I Software Development

Overview

Build and manage mobile and web infrastructure as a full-stack engineer, delivering features across cross-platform hybrid applications.

What you'll do

• Build, test, and deliver new features while improving the performance and quality of the product.
• Design and develop rich user interfaces with latest web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular, Ionic, ReactJS, Typescript etc.
• Build cross platform mobile apps with Ionic/ReactJS.
• Develop new features, improvements and bug fixes as agreed with product manager(s).
• Participate in software and product design discussions.
• Participate in peer code reviews.
• Write automated tests for new code.
• Ensure the entire stack is designed and built for security, speed, and scalability.
• Investigate and recommend use of new technologies/libraries where appropriate.
• Develop solutions for cloud – Azure.

What you'll need

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Enthusiasm to develop your software engineering skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the skills below.
• Knowledge and experience in web development technologies like Angular, Typescript, Ionic and ReactJS.
• Proficient in Ionic/ReactJS; experience in Ionic/ReactJS is a must.
• Experience with REST API / Web API (creation, consumption, integration) using Entity Framework or similar ORM tool or service-oriented architecture.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to tackle them.
• Proficient in at least one database technology like MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Understanding and knowledge of programming fundamentals: Clean Code concepts, SOLID principles, Object Oriented Design, unit testing etc.
• Ability to tackle ambitious problems and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Extensive experience as a Developer in Agile projects.
• Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Development experience of hybrid web applications compatible with Desktop, iOS, and Android mobile platforms.
• Experience with an object-oriented language such as C#.
• Knowledge of Git version control, Jira, DevOps.
