Engineer Quality

Overview

Engineer Quality role ensuring the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and analysis, developing and implementing quality control systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.

What you'll do

• Quickly comprehend project goals and requirements, identify gaps/omissions and testing challenges/impediments
• Develop and implement quality control systems and conduct inspections
• Identify areas for improvement
• Establish collaborative relationships with other teams to ensure success of project test phases
• Work closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements
• Prepare test plan and strategy documents
• Gather and understand requirements
• Write and maintain test cases and report test results
• Create testing defect reports and track them to resolution in defect management tool
• Perform Functional Testing, End-to-End, Regression, and Smoke Testing tasks
• Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software and drive resolution
• Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to management
• Drive automation initiative

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
• 4 to 6 years of software testing experience
• Strong QA background in manual/functional testing
• Good knowledge in SQL/Oracle queries
• Good experience in writing test cases and in requirement gathering
• Good experience in Web services testing
• Understanding of formal software test design techniques
• Demonstrated ability to follow QA process and standards
• Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations
• Hands-on experience in automation, frameworks and tools
• Strong interpersonal skills and people management skills, with proven ability to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and grow talent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong self-motivation, organization and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Exposure to security and performance testing
