Job description
Overview
Engineer, Quality handling contract manufacturing QA for EMS, cable harness, and unit assembly in Bengaluru.
What you'll do
- Manage contract manufacturing QA for EMS, cable harness, and unit assembly.
- Define supplier quality requirements for PCBs, PCBA, electronic components, power electronics products, and cable harness services.
- Conduct supplier audits, qualification, and performance reviews.
- Oversee quality control across SMT, THT, selective soldering, wave soldering, conformal coating, cable harness, and final assembly.
- Own FAI for PCBA, cable harness, and unit-level builds.
- Drive RCA and improvement using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and FMEA; run CAPA for internal and customer issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in PCBA/EMS/Cable Harness/Electronics Manufacturing Quality Assurance.
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCB assembly, and testing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of cable harness build and verification methods.
- Knowledge of unit assembly and sub-assembly quality assurance.
- Experience with customer audits and certifications.
