Engineer, Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer role focused on delivering high-quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications.

What you'll do

• Develop, test, debug, document and deploy software according to standards and best practices.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and technology solutions from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Use DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
• Adopt continuous improvement and learning.
• Handle project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.
• Collaborate across teams and adhere to company standards.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll need

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or other related degree; technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
• One or more years of technology experience.
• Technical skills: business requirements, CI/CD, cloud computing, programming languages, software development life cycle (SDLC), software engineering, software testing, systems integration.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, etc.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work in agile and global environments.
• Time management and prioritization.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Insurance/financial services industry knowledge.

• Reports to Technology Manager/Director - India.
• Working hours aligned to India business hours with flexibility for global collaboration.
