Engineering Manager

Overview

Engineering Manager for a founding team of engineers and data scientists building high-throughput traffic inspection services and applied machine learning systems. This player-coach role owns team delivery, production quality, hiring, and people development.

What you'll do

• Build and lead the founding engineering and data science team.
• Set technical and cultural direction with lead engineers.
• Make decisions that unblock the team.
• Own hiring from the first requisition through the tenth.
• Create clarity and plans for undefined work.
• Ensure shipped systems perform as intended in production.
• Coach people and grow high-performing contributors.

What you'll need

• 8–10+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience leading teams that shipped and operated production systems.
• Demonstrable AI-native leadership and AI proficiency.
• Technical depth in systems, machine learning, or both.
• Experience hiring and developing engineers and data scientists.
• Ability to own ambiguous, high-stakes delivery end to end.
