Engineering Manager II - Phone Core

Overview

Engineering Manager to lead the Phone Core teams responsible for the CPaaS foundation of HighLevel’s communication stack, including phone billing, trust & compliance, and phone number provisioning.

What you'll do

• Lead multiple squads across Phone Core domains (10+ engineers).
• Own architecture and delivery for the CPaaS platform layer.
• Partner with PMs and Staff Engineers to keep the system correct.
• Ensure the platform is compliant and exceptionally fast at high scale.
• Own delivery outcomes for revenue-critical Phone Billing and Trust & Compliance.

What you'll need

• Lead multiple squads and teams of 10+ engineers.
• Own architecture and delivery for the CPaaS platform layer.
• Partner with PMs and Staff Engineers on system correctness.
• Design systems that absorb policy change without a rewrite.

Details

• Phone Core owns the CPaaS platform layer, Phone Billing, Trust & Compliance, and phone number provisioning.
• Trust & Compliance covers 10DLC and toll-free registration, brand and campaign vetting, carrier filtering, and DLT/regional regimes.
• Phone Billing meters and monetises usage for Phone and WhatsApp, where correctness, idempotency, and reconciliation are required.
