Environment Consultant III

Overview

An experienced Environmental Expert role supporting infrastructure and development sector projects, focused on environmental safeguards, impact assessments and compliance with national and international standards.

What you'll do

• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Due Diligence, compliance reports and related environmental safeguard studies for environment and health & safety requirements of international financial institutions such as IFC, The World Bank, ADB, JICA, and other multilateral agencies.
• Conduct EIA study for environmental clearance.
• Prepare and review environment, health & safety audit compliance reports focused on national regulations for under construction or operational projects related to infrastructure and manufacturing units.
• Prepare and review environment management plans, management systems and compliance reports.
• Coordinate with project authorities, consultants, contractors, government agencies, local communities and environmental monitoring teams on environmental safeguard matters.
• Prepare reports, presentations, monitoring frameworks and project documentation.
• Contribute to implementation and monitoring of environmental safeguard measures throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental safeguard and development sector assignments.
• Strong understanding of environmental safeguard frameworks and lender requirements including IFC, World Bank, ADB, JICA, etc.
• Strong understanding of environment, health & safety requirements of national regulations.
• Experience across sectors such as transport, renewable energy, industrial areas, manufacturing facilities, urban infrastructure, or related sectors.
• Strong analytical, communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or related discipline.
• Degree/certification in industrial health & safety (desired).
