Overview
Portworx Escalation Engineer (Technical Services) who serves as the primary technical authority bridging frontline support and core engineering to resolve critical enterprise container storage issues.
What you’ll do
- Lead high-severity technical escalations as the final tier before core engineering.
- Troubleshoot complex container storage incidents and conduct initial code reviews in GoLang.
- Collaborate with Product Development teams to diagnose root causes and submit bug fixes for permanent resolutions.
- Coach and mentor Technical Services Engineers through paired troubleshooting and knowledge creation.
- Publish KB articles and FAQs to help reduce MTTR across the team.
- Analyze telemetry and field trends to identify systemic vulnerabilities and feed actionable feedback to product/engineering.
What you’ll need
- 8 years of customer-facing technical support experience.
- Deep expertise supporting Kubernetes/container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu).
- CKA-level expertise across cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed storage architectures.
- Ability to perform code-level troubleshooting in GoLang.
- Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Exceptional customer-facing communication and ability to manage high-stakes crisis situations.
- Experience managing multiple high-priority investigations concurrently, including participation in an on-call rotation.
