FBS Data Engineer

Overview

Acquire, curate and publish data on-premises and in the cloud for analytical and operational use, delivering a single version of the truth to business users, reporting specialists and data scientists.

What you'll do

• Consult on data projects of intermediate complexity to understand design requirements and existing business processes, and lead the design, development and implementation of data products.
• Practice code management and integrate work with current architectural and data governance guidelines.
• Produce data building blocks, data models and data flows for dimensional data, standard and ad hoc reporting, data feeds, dashboard reporting and data science research.
• Create business user access methods to structured and unstructured data.
• Apply techniques such as mapping data to a common data model, natural language processing, transforming data to satisfy business rules, AI, statistical computations and data validation.
• Translate business data stories into technical story breakdown structures and work estimates for a schedule or planned agile sprint.
• Develop and maintain moderately complex scalable data pipelines for streaming and batch requirements, and build new API integrations.
• Prep and cleanse data to optimize it for downstream reporting via standard visualization or AI/ML tools.
• Develop data project plans and execute them with some supervision.
