Overview
Field Support Engineer supporting power management systems for clients across UK and Europe from a remote base in the UK.
What you’ll do
- Develop, service, maintain, and troubleshoot power management systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, PME) and related networks across client sites.
- Provide on-site technical support by diagnosing faults and resolving hardware/software issues.
- Support installation and commissioning of power management systems, including testing and verifying correct operation.
- Deliver customer training and maintain client relationships through service.
- Produce service documentation and report activities back to internal teams.
- Participate in an emergency call-out rota (approx. 1 in 8 weeks) and respond to urgent issues.
What you’ll need
- 3+ years of experience servicing and maintaining power management systems including PLC, SCADA, PME, and networks.
- Degree/HNC/ONC or related qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting PLC/SCADA/PME and network systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power management.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate field service vehicles.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
