Overview
Provide finance and accounting services for business units in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala, supporting accounting operations, compliance, reporting, and financial risk management.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary finance and accounting contact for assigned business units.
- Review month-end close activities, reconciliations, accounting records, and supporting documentation.
- Supervise cash management, banking operations, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate accounting, tax, statutory compliance, and regulatory deliverables.
- Lead year-end close processes and coordinate external audits and statutory reviews.
- Support payroll processes and financial reporting.
- Supervise, coach, and provide performance support to staff.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Knowledge of Mexican legal, regulatory, tax, labor, and statutory requirements.
- Experience using automated accounting systems.
- Experience overseeing accounts payable, provider payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience leading, supervising, and developing staff.
Nice to have
- Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Experience designing processes for accurate and timely provider payments.
- Non-profit accounting experience.
