Overview
Own day-to-day finance and accounts for the India entity, running accounting, compliance, reconciliations, and month-end close while automating recurring work with AI and no-code tools.
What you'll do
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including vendor and customer invoicing.
- Manage GST/TDS filings, payroll compliance, and statutory filings (ROC, PF, PT, etc.).
- Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations with exception-flagging to reduce manual matching.
- Own month-end close activities including close calendar, journal entries, accruals, and reporting packages.
- Run AP/AR operations such as invoice processing, payment runs, collections follow-up, and expense management.
- Coordinate audit and compliance readiness with auditors, tax consultants, and the company secretary while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Identify repetitive finance workflows and configure tools or build AI/no-code automations to remove manual effort.
What you'll need
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting/finance operations.
- Strong working knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with an accounting system such as Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, or similar.
- ERP exposure to NetSuite is a bonus.
- Ability to own the full close cycle independently.
- AI and automation fluency using tools like ChatGPT or Claude for drafting, summarizing, researching compliance questions, and building financial models.
- Ability to build/configure spreadsheet/AI-assisted workflows and connect systems using low-code/no-code tools like n8n, Zapier, or Google Apps Script.
