Financial Consulting Manager - Fund Services+

Overview

Fund Services+ within RSM's Financial Consulting practice is seeking a Financial Consulting Manager to take ownership of real estate property accounting for managed fund clients.

What you'll do

• Assume ownership of real estate property accounting, with complete end-to-end responsibility for property accounting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual workpapers and financial statements, including variance analysis.
• Ensure proper accounting policies, procedures and internal controls are maintained and that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• Handle bookkeeping for entity operations, including cash booking, expense accruals, assets and depreciation, leases, asset management fees, loan draw packages, CAM, commercial billing, AR aging, actual vs budget, acquisitions, dispositions and lender compliance.
• Support queries from clients, property/fund accounting teams, regulatory authorities and external auditors.
• Assist with onboarding new clients, setting up entities and assets, and building customized reports in line with client reporting requirements.
• Create SOPs and checklists for various processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
• Work collaboratively with global team members to manage day-to-day operations, implement month-end close processes and provide client servicing.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to new or junior team members.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in fund accounting.
• Undergraduate degree in accounting.
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, team player, upholds personal and professional integrity, and maintains a positive attitude.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, influencing skills and leadership capabilities.
• Adapts well to dynamic, fast-paced environments and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or CA.
