Fire Fighting- Design Engineer

Overview

Design fire protection and suppression systems for projects, including presales, estimation, calculations, product selection, and technical proposals.

What you'll do

• Design fire protection and suppression systems according to account standards.
• Identify project risks and help customers mitigate them.
• Coordinate with OEMs and subcontractors to obtain solutions and proposals.
• Perform hydrant and flow calculations and select products.
• Prepare costing sheets covering materials, engineering, operations, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop technical proposal documents and compliance statements.
• Adhere to project processes, guidelines, timelines, and organizational KPIs.

What you'll need

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in fire protection and suppression systems.
• ME, BE, or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Experience with India project presales and estimation.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection and suppression systems.
• Ability to prepare BOQs and material tracking sheets.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and solve problems.

Nice to have

• Building Management System knowledge.
• Experience designing systems according to NFPA, TAC, and NBC norms.
• Proficiency with SprinkCAD, Fire-CAD, ANSUL, and HYGOOD.
• Knowledge of ACAD, Visio, and Excel.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and clients for design approvals.
